Frequently asked questions

How does WP Click Tracker track clicks?

The plugin uses a small tracking script that monitors clicks on any element with the tracker’s assigned CSS class. Once a visitor clicks, the event is recorded in your WordPress database and displayed in the analytics dashboard.

Can I track multiple buttons with one tracker?

Yes. Just add the same tracker class to multiple elements. All clicks on those elements will be recorded under the same tracker ID.

Does this plugin slow down my site?

No. WP Click Tracker is lightweight and uses minimal resources. All tracking runs locally in WordPress without sending data to third-party services.

How do I set up tracking for my buttons or links?

When you create a tracker in WP Click Tracker, you’ll be given a unique CSS class (e.g. dbct-track-1). Simply add that class to the button, link, or element you want to track. Any clicks on elements with that class will be recorded automatically.

Do I need coding skills to use this plugin?

No. You only need to add the generated CSS class to your button or link. If you’re using a page builder like Elementor, Gutenberg, or Divi, you can add it directly in the “Additional CSS class” or “Advanced” settings for the element.

Can I export my click data?

Yes. You can export all click data to CSV directly from the analytics dashboard for use in Excel, Google Sheets, or other tools.
